Description

Issue No. 49 of The Bob Magazine with Guided by Voices + 3 Flexi Guided by Voices ("Do the Earth"), Velvet Crush ("Remember the Lightning"), Godstar ("Younowknow") & Bill Lloyd ("The Shortest Distance Between Two Points" co-written by Steve Wynn) 4-track 7" vinyl flexi record. All tracks unreleased at time of publication… Plus articles on the Mekons, Lazy Cowgirls, Sleepyhead, Tindersticks, Love, Devin Hill and more. Plus many, many album and single reviews. 48 pages, 15" x 11". We are the publishers - this issue is new. Long out of print. Flexi tracks were unreleased at time of printing. Flexis are the same size as 45 RPM records except they are pressed on thin floppy vinyl and play at 33 RPM. The flexi is not perfectly flat like a real record. When they came from the record presser they were often lightly wavey due to the thinness of the vinyl. Tip! Play flexis on top of an LP for better results! Condition: Magazine and Flexi are new and unused. There is no staple hole through the flexi - this is how it was attached on retail copies. Expect light yellowing to the magazine due to the age of the newsprint. Release Date: 1994 Shipping: Ground Advantage. Flexi will be well protected with cardboard. Magazine will be folded. Catalog of Back Issues: David Janssen Publishing is the publisher of The Bob Magazine featuring almost 60 issues of guitar oriented indie rock & roll. Many issues feature a flexi disc of unreleased material by bands like REM, Iggy Pop, Flaming Lips, Replacement, Robyn Hitchcock, Blur, Pixies and many, many more - over 90 tracks in all. Thanks!
